Welcome to another Maitland Chamber of Commerce Business Spotlight! We are excited about this week’s member, Home Star Storage. The all air conditioned storage building has sizes from 5 x 3 to 10 x 30 units, and also provides vehicle parking services. This organization has been in business for one year, and calls itself a small organization but with a huge heart, both for the community and it’s customers. Home Star Storage knows you need storage during trying times in your life, and they are here to help with the various transitions that life brings. They have the know-how to prevent future problems with your belongings, and have packing supplies to keep your product clean for its next use. Keeping involved with the community includes having a blood drive, giving away goodies on the holidays to local children, or giving gift cards on kindness days.

Terri Friesner is the store manager at Home Star Storage, and has been in the storage business for over sixteen years. She has taught many people who have grown within the industry to become supervisors of the company she’s presently with, as well as other large self storage companies. Her favorite place in Maitland is the Boys & Girls Club Resale Store. Their facility, located just outside of Maitland in neighboring Orlando, was chosen as the business location because of the availability of the building to be retro-fitted into storage with plenty of parking. Terri says “the biggest challenge so far has been getting people to realize where they are located!” For future note, it’s off of the ramp to the 414. Their greatest rewards are helping people in some of the neediest times of their lives, and giving them a smile to leave with. 
Home Star Storage became a member of the Maitland Chamber of Commerce because of the community involvement opportunities available in both businesses and nonprofits. Business plans for the future include keeping involved with the community for the foreseeable future.
